Thing are moving right along in self-publishing land. It’s keeping me really busy. Even during finals weeks in college, I don’t remember ever having quite so many items on my to-do list. It’s funny how, now that I’ve finished writing a 500-plus page novel, I’ve suddenly got waaay too much to do. There’s formatting the interior for paperback, formatting it for Kindle, formatting it for Smashwords, making versions of the cover appropriate for the dimension requirements for each, Facebook pages, Twitter pages, Amazon Author pages…the list goes on and on and on.
I have to admit, though, it’s a lot of fun.
And I have a release date: May 12th, 2014. It’s a Monday, and when that Monday comes, you’ll be able to find “Knight of the Flame” in Amazon.com paperback (or Amazon.co.uk, or .ca, or whatever other version of Amazon matches up with the kind of money you usually keep in your pocket), Amazon Kindle, iBooks, Nook, and Kobo versions. There are a few other e-stores that Smashwords publishes to, so if you’ve got another kind of e-reader, it’ll probably be there, too.
In the meantime, I present to you the sample chapters of the book. I’m not crazy enough to want to deal with password-protection or DRM or anything, so feel free to download, copy, and share the sample as much as you like. As far as I’m concerned, the more of these there are out in the wild, the better.
